The following baggage policies are shown as they appear on Air Transat’s website. Your Vacations To Go travel counselor can answer any additional questions you may have.
Carry-on Baggage
Each person is allowed (1) carry-on bag (23cm x 40cm x 51cm). Weight maximum for economy class is 11lbs (5kg) for flights going to and from the United States, Ireland and the UK and 22lbs (10kg) for all other destinations.
Checked Baggage
Economy class free baggage allowance* is as follows:
· Canada to and from South and the United States: 20kg (44lbs) EXCEPT Toronto to and from Montego Bay, Jamaica: 23kg (51lbs)
· Canada to and from Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK: 25kg (55lbs)
· Certain cruise passengers: 25kg (55lbs) if noted on ticket and for passengers who have booked air/cruise through our tour operator only
· Canada to and from Greece, Italy and Turkey: 30kg (66lbs)
· Canada to and from Haiti and Portugal: 50kg (110lbs)
There is a $15 (CA) per extra kilogram each way for flights to/from South destinations and $20 (CA) per extra kilogram each way for flights to/from European destinations.
Economy class free baggage allowance** is as follows:
· To and from the South/Haiti/Florida (including cruises): 20kg (44lbs) EXCEPT Toronto to and from Montego Bay (23kg / 51lbs); Montreal to and from Haiti (50kg / 110lbs); and cruise passengers (25kg / 55lbs) if noted on ticket and for passengers who have booked air/cruise through our tour operator only. ($15 CAD per kilogram each way for excess baggage)
· To and from Greece, Italy, Turkey (including cruises): 30kg / 66lbs ($100 CAD for the 2nd bag / $75 CAD if weight exceeds free baggage allowance)
· To and from Portugal: two (2) bags per paying customer (50 kilos overall weight) $100 CAD for the 2nd bag / $75 CAD if weight exceeds free baggage allowance
· To and from the United Kingdom, Ireland: 23kg / 51lbs (CAD $100 for the 2nd bag)
· To and from other European countries (including cruises): 23kg / 51lbs EXCEPT cruise passengers (25kg / 55lbs) if noted on ticket and for passengers who have booked air/cruise through our tour operator only. ($100 CAD for the 2nd bag)
