Carry-on Baggage
Customers may take one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 7kg (15lbs) onboard Air New Zealand Jet and Link flights. Dimensions for Jet services* should not exceed 118cm. This generally means baggage should be no more than 57cm (width) x 37cm (height) x 24cm (depth) for an overnight bag, laptop bag or briefcase or 60cm (width) x 11cm (height) x 114cm (length) for a suit pack or garment bag. Dimensions for customers traveling on Link** services are 105cm, which generally means a bag should be no more than 48cm (width) x 34cm (height) x 23cm (depth).
* Jet services are Boeing 737, 767, 747 and Airbus A320.
** Link services are flight numbers in series 2000, 5000 and 8000.
Checked Baggage
Free Baggage Allowance:
· On domestic New Zealand flights, the grabaseat fare doesn’t allow for any free checked bags.
· On Australia, Pacific Islands and Bali international flights, excluding Tahiti, passengers are allowed one (1) piece weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
· On long-haul international travel, including Tahiti, economy class is allowed one (1) piece weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
