Yachtsmen rank the sailing here to be some of the best in the world. These 100 or so islands strung through azure waters tend to attract smaller ships. Visitors may want to lend an ear to the stories of the whalers or watch the craftsmen carve exquisite boat models. The traditional boat builders can be found hard at work in Carriacou. Some small vessels also occasionally call on Mayreau and Palm Island, both privately owned.
