Maumere, Flores, Indonesia

Maumere is the largest town and the center of business in Flores, Indonesia. Outside of the city center visitors might catch a glimpse of the Komodo dragon in its natural habitat. The coral reefs of Maumere are some of the oldest in the world, and experienced scuba divers will have the opportunity to view indigenous tropical fish and new reefs that have flourished in spite of earthquakes and bomb fishing.
