Santiago (also known as San Salvador) is home to all kinds of wildlife. Stroll along the beautiful white sand beaches and you may see marine iguanas, sea lions, fur seals, land and sea turtles, flamingos and maybe even a dolphin or a shark. Near the shore is also a great location for bird watching - easily more than ten species of migrants can be recorded here. And last, but not least, the black lava rock formations are pretty spectacular too.
