Named for the shards of pottery found here by explorers, Vansittart Bay features a number of smaller islands and secluded coves for the present-day adventurer to discover. Cruisers visiting this port can enjoy the famous crash site of a World War 2 Allied aircraft. Another great excursion is to an outdoor art gallery, which displays Gwion Gwion, or Bradshaw Aboriginal art, possibly the oldest rock art known to man, guessed to be anywhere from 17,000 to 50,000 years old.
